Drive-In Rack Layouts for Homestead, FL
A lot of the calls we get from Homestead start with seasonal inventory that swallows floor space three months a year. Drive-in warehouse racking usually fixes it, because it changes how much of a Florida City floor plate is actually available to store product without moving a wall.
Given the value of the highest density available for a small number of SKUs, we model this against a second configuration on the same Homestead floor plan so density and access are numbers you can compare. Free to see, no obligation to order, and the drive-in rack numbers are yours either way. Call (305) 930-7780 about your Homestead industrial park building.
Why Homestead Warehouses Work With Us
No two buildings near Homestead industrial park carry the same combination of clear height, aisle width, and floor loading, which is why we draw every Homestead layout to the site instead of pulling one off a shelf.
Since 1997 we have supplied produce and agriculture, cold storage, and 3PL operations across Homestead and the surrounding area through Warehouse Equipment & Supplies Co. The consult up front, where we talk through aisles traded for lanes to push positions per square foot, is why the first layout is usually close to the final one.
One number reaches the people who did the work, whether that is a drive-in rack revision during design or a replacement upright for a Campbell Drive corridor site three years out.
Operations We Rack Around Here
Nearby areas we work in regularly include Homestead industrial park, Florida City, Campbell Drive corridor, Redland agricultural district.

How Drive-In Rack Works
No aisles. The forklift enters the structure, and the floor holds more pallets per square foot than any other system.
Continuous rails, not beams
Pallets rest on rails carried by upright frames rather than individual beam levels, so a lane accepts pallet after pallet at the same elevation.
The truck enters the lane
The driver travels inside the bay to place or retrieve each load. Lane width, rail height, and mast clearance get dimensioned to that specific truck, not a generic one.
One open end or two
One open end gives LIFO and the highest density available. Two open ends give FIFO with slightly fewer positions, since each lane now needs clearance from both sides.
Guarding built into the design
Guide rails, column guards, and rail-end protection are part of the spec from the start, because a lane that takes daily contact from forklifts is a lane that will eventually need repair.
What a Drive-In Rack Project Includes
We start by understanding the produce and agriculture side of your operation — pallet profile, equipment, clear height, SKU count, throughput — because those inputs decide drive-in rack capacity in a Homestead industrial park building long before steel is quoted.
You then get a drive-in rack position count for the Homestead footprint, load ratings for every beam level, and pricing broken out by component, so cost per pallet position is visible rather than buried in a lump sum. Where it makes sense we run the same plan a second way, with aisles traded for lanes to push positions per square foot.
Stock drive-in rack components move within days, and we time drops to your Homestead shift schedule instead of one large delivery. Installation partners anchor and align to the drawing, tag every bay with its capacity, and work around your cold storage production hours. The Homestead layout stays on file for the next expansion.
