    Drive-In Rack in Miami, FL

Most import and export distribution and e-commerce fulfillment operations in Miami outgrow the layout before they outgrow the building, usually starting with warehouse rent climbing faster than the floor plan can keep up with. Drive-In Rack is the system we reach for when the floor is full but the air above Allapattah racks is not.

We measure the building first — pallet profile, forklift, ceiling height under the sprinklers — and because this system depends on aisles traded for lanes to push positions per square foot, then hand your Miami team a layout with a position count and an itemized quote. Call (305) 930-7780 with the pallet weights and we will size the drive-in rack for Miami.

Why Miami Warehouses Work With Us

Warehouses in and around Allapattah tend to be constrained by something specific: a low sprinkler line, tight columns, or a dock that will not take a full truck at once. Those details decide a Miami design, not a standard drawing.

That is part of why drive-in rack fits Miami operations: lane dimensions drawn around your specific lift truck. A short design consult tells you quickly whether that tradeoff works for your SKUs, or whether another system carries more of the load in a Airport West footprint.

Being close to Miami matters on the small things too: short delivery runs, a quick answer on a drive-in rack revision, and parts on hand when a lift truck clips a frame.

    How Drive-In Rack Works

No aisles. The forklift enters the structure, and the floor holds more pallets per square foot than any other system.

    1

    Continuous rails, not beams

Pallets rest on rails carried by upright frames rather than individual beam levels, so a lane accepts pallet after pallet at the same elevation.

    2

    The truck enters the lane

The driver travels inside the bay to place or retrieve each load. Lane width, rail height, and mast clearance get dimensioned to that specific truck, not a generic one.

    3

    One open end or two

One open end gives LIFO and the highest density available. Two open ends give FIFO with slightly fewer positions, since each lane now needs clearance from both sides.

    4

    Guarding built into the design

Guide rails, column guards, and rail-end protection are part of the spec from the start, because a lane that takes daily contact from forklifts is a lane that will eventually need repair.

What a Drive-In Rack Project Includes

The first step is a working list of what has to fit in your Miami space: pallet sizes, heaviest load, forklift reach, and how many SKUs need direct access versus drive-in rack depth.

The deliverable is a drive-in rack drawing and a priced bill of material: positions, elevations, aisle widths, and capacities for your Allapattah building. Since the design turns on lane dimensions drawn around your specific lift truck, we normally include a denser alternative on the same plan so the import and export distribution tradeoff is explicit.

Drive-In Rack delivery windows are built around your Allapattah dock so trailers do not sit and wait. Installation partners work off the Miami drive-in rack drawing you approved, tag capacities on completion, and phase the job by zone or shift. Parts, added drive-in rack positions, and later reconfigurations go through the same Miami contact.

High volume of a small number of SKUs
Seasonal or buffer inventory held in bulk
Cold storage and freezer rooms where cube matters most
Product too fragile to floor-stack more than two high
Buildings where floor space, not height, is the binding constraint
